John, I have just realized that I am getting more fustrated finding some answers what I am looking for since it takes forever to read everything on your site and forums especially.

So, I would suggest to start a new thread: "Questions for John Stone" where we can be specified to ask only about you, your site, your fitness workout stuff, your logs/progress, pictures, and etc. (of course I won't ask or wouldn't even want to know about your love life). So that different people won't have to ask you the same questions. Your answers to questions can be read and shared with the others in public. Plus, the thread would be the only place where you can check it out and answer if possible. If the questions are about general other than you, then it's not the right place to post questions. It's only an idea. ;)

I have a question that I have been looking for to answer it but couldn't find it here. I am sorry if it's been posted somewhere here. My few questions are:

What kind of warm-ups do you use before your weight training workout? You did not specify exactly what they were, so there you go!

Do you use some stretching "before" and/or "after" your weight training/cardio workouts?

What camera do you use post your daily photos? A digital camera, I bet! ;)

Did you go away on your out-of-town vacation where you had no access to the public gym since you started your fitness program? If so, did you stick to your program? I mean, everyone needs to get out of the house for a week or so on a vacation once a year. :D

Thank you for taking a few mins of your time. You are still a great inspiration to all of us. :claplow:

Try searching, it will save you time. :)

I'm afraid I'm not going to be able to do something like that. With all the other demands on my time - house, work, dogs, the normal forum questions, emails, on and on - it would just be one more thing I'd have to remeber to do, taking yet another chuck out of my already limited free time. If you have a question that is personal and of no use to anyone else on the forum, just PM me and I'll try to help. :)

I just do the normal MAX-OT warmup and acclimation sets. You can read about MAX-OT on my training page (the .PDF file is linked there). The warmup sets are covered in that document.

Do you use some stretching "before" and/or "after" your weight training/cardio workouts? I only stretch during my workout and after, never before. It's not a good idea to stretch muscles when they are cold, so I only stretch them after I've been working out for a little while.

I'd have to have a pretty fast photo developer if I didn't use a digital. :)

I use an old Fuji 1400 Fine Pix Zoom. I'm going to upgrade it sometime soon (don't know what yet, probably a Canon).

No, I have not gone away on a vacation in the last year. When I do, I'll make sure the hotel I'm staying in has a gym. Many of them do these days, so it won't be a problem.

Thank you for your answers, John (actually I have my oldest brother named John too!). :) I guess, if I need something to know, I will post some questions related to other topics in other threads. It's getting harder and harder to read everything in the forurm otherwise my eye would look like this .... :p Boy, it's going to take a lot of time reading :read: in the forum before I am to able to find something...... I could use a search tool to find a specific topic but... Shame on me! :o

i had thought before when reading about John strugling to answer all emails that, instead of replying to emails, he could have his own Q&A forum where he replies to any emailed questions, that way he can go through the emails he receives and pick out the questions he's not already answered, there would also be one location with all his replies to the main questions he gets asked and he can link to there anywhere he posts his email address with a "read this first" note.

Probably set the forum up at moderator only thread starting, member posting, so he puts question in the title and answers in the post, then everyone else can discuss as they wish in the thread :)
