Wondering if anyone else is having this problem. I am not sure what is causing it, but every time I drink a premixed Shake my stomach is upset for several hours after. I have not thrown up but it does make me nauseas feeling. I have not tried powder yet, I am going to buy some this week and see of mixing it with fruit or milk might help. I just don't want to order a giant tub of the stuff and it give me the same results.

I know that most all of them contain sucralose and it has in the past made my stomach feel a bit queasy but not nearly as bad as the RTD Shakes have. I have only tried EAS and one other brand (can't remember right now) so not sure if that would be it or not. All I know is I'm avoiding them for now and looking for an alternative. I'm trying to cut my Tuna intake down a bit and even though I like cottage cheese it gets old after 3 or more times a week. :(

i have kind of the same problem
whenever i have my post-workout meal i feel sick about an hour after i've eaten it, for about 3-4 hours

i just have oats, whey and water, im going to try some medication and see how that works, i'll just go down to the chemist and see what they suggest

Possible?

Try drinking it over like 30 mins or something and see if that helps. Intense exercise can stop/slow digestion hence the no eating before swimming rule

No, I am buying ready to drink shakes that come in a can or carton type container.

Zamboni-

I did drink the second one much slower than the first one. For some reason I slammed the first one down. I am going to pick up a small tub of protein powder tomorrow just to see if I get different results mixed with some food.

just wondering... does optimum nutrition only sell "isolate" whey, cos a few people think that the fact that it may be concentrate may be the problem, im not sure which one i have, its sorta conflicted on the packaging, it has a couple of things thats confuse me
-whey protein isolates from cross flow microfiltration and ion-exchange
and
-untrafiltered whey protein concentrate

does that mean its a concentrate? that could be the problem...

I read something on this site www.zoicbev.com about sugar alcohols upsetting people stomachs. They make a damn good pre-mixed protien shake with no added sugar. Maybe try them?

I went and picked up a small 12.7 oz tub of designer whey (chocolate) this morning to see if it had the same affect. Nope, I blended it with H2O and Fresh Strawberry's for my 3:00 meal. Tasted good and no upset stomach. Now that I know I can handle this stuff I will put an order in @ All The Whey and get some unflavored and Vanilla.

I don't think they have much Surcralose in the Designer Whey since it had zero affect on my stomach and I usually get a bit queasy feeling if I eat anything containing it.
