Well, here's the thing. Every morning, with just boxers and having just .. relieved myself from the former nights refreshments, I stand on my electronic scale and get my weight and bodyfat measured.

Now, for the past 5 days in the morning I have gotten a consistent 31% bodyfat (though my weight has went from 232 to 228 but whatever) and here is the odd thing. I can weigh myself at night before I go to bed, and low and behold, my bodyfat% has dropped to 30%.

Why is this? For the past five nights, in fact, even in the afternoon I check out at 30%. It just seems to be the morning that I get 31%. I have heard many times the morning was the best time to do this yet these readouts are confusing the hell out of me.

Btw, the scale works perfectly fine, I've calibrated and tested it until my hands and brain hurt. I don't know what the hell is goin on here

I don't use one of those BF scales but I would guess its your hydration levels. At the end of the day you have drank 1 - 1.5 gallons of water during the day. In the morning you dehydrated your body during the past 8 hours. Now these scales, if I remember correctly, send an electrical impulse through you. Well, if you're lacking water internally you'll get slower return of electrical pulses giving a less than perfect BF % reading. Just keep doing it in the morning and it should be consistent even if off a few % from actual.
