taffer November 21st, 2004, 08:47 PM Well i just finished an 8week carb cycle, it was interesting, but back to good 'ol regular dieting (oats and sweet potato everyday now! :D)
anyway i figure i will post some pics here (http://www.users.on.net/~jafae/pics/)
now those 2 sets of pics are only 4 week apart becuase i didnt take pics at the start of my carb cycle (yeah yeah, nauty me!) but you can see some progress anyway
there is 1 "before" shot of me in there, i should really scan in some more that show more of how fat i was (i was probly like 270-280lbs in that pic)
CKS7 November 21st, 2004, 08:55 PM oh man, ur very skinny now. but i see some loose skin. im afraid of it too. i was 300 lbs and now im 270 lbs. i wont be as slim as u, but still loose skin frightens me. how tall are u? and what u weigh now?
very nice job btw, how long did it take in total to be at ur weight now? start the bulkage lol
taffer November 21st, 2004, 09:02 PM im 188lbs and 6'4... yeah i know, i need weight(muscle!), but i still got fat, its such a bad predicament!)
well i started at the gym on the 15th of december last year, but i was "trying" to lose weight before that (starvation based, doing 30-45min walks 3 times a week, only lasted a couple of months luckily!)

burgherman November 23rd, 2004, 05:52 PM Great progress Taff. Like you said before I think you need some mass. I am 144.5kg right now and it seems like I may finish my cut ABOVE 136.4kgs or 300lbs at about 12-13% bf. I am also quite tall at 196cm or 6'5" .... I will admit that I have been lifting for over 15 years with many breaks -:) and have always had a high body fat level. So I realize that muscle memory may be kicking in etc.
I also think that you could aim to add 40-50lbs of weight of about 75% muscle in a clean bulk{I know you are an endomorph so it needs to be clean]. Greg Elder has the kind of routine that would help you. Compound movements and heavy ..squat..squat..squat!! You should be able to put on 7-10lbs every month with your endomorphic bodytype.
After 6 months I think another run of carb cycling for 3-4months into Spring[Australia] of 2005 to take off 20-25lbs with calorie counting for your high/low carb days to deal with psychology issues of those days. That why like Bodybuil03 on the other board I count carbs on all days.
If I'm having a bad day and my hunger level is lower/higher than normal then it would through me off course.
Dont worry about the loose skin....I have no doubt that with your young age.. the loose skin will go away ...Mondesi and gregElder had techniques to help this problem.
taffer November 23rd, 2004, 06:31 PM yeah i think i was a bit screwed by the fact that i never really did any weight training before my weight-loss, so i didnt really build up any muscle during my ..... dirty bulk :p
i really want to put on muscle, i plan to start bulking next year, but right now summer is coming up and i wanna lose some fat, cos i know i still have fat left and i wanna get rid of it, then after summer i can bulk up
also i hear losing as much fat as possible is the best way to get rid of loose skin
i dont think im a hardcore endo, i think im more of a endo/meso, because while i do store alot of fat in my mid section, i never had a large waist line, i was always like a "ruler" body shape, so i dont know about all those body types, sometimes they seem a bit stupid :)
i really hope my loose skin does tighten up, it kinda really annoys me that its there cos im still embarrassed to take off my shirt :(
