I'm very happy to say that I've passed the Certified Personal Trainers course that I've been working towards. Right now I'm feeling such a sense of relief and satisfaction for all of the time and work that I've put into my studies...It's especially gratifying that I scored a 91 on the Exam portion, and a 90 on the Case Studies. I'm now going to be taking a much-needed break from sticking my head in books for a little while.
Thanks to everybody for being so tolerant of me over the past few months. You've all been very instrumental in helping me to achieve this goal.

A job well done. Be proud of the achievement. Do you have any plans for applying that knowledge?

Thanks everybody...I really am proud of this. I'm getting alot of kudos from my friends in the bodybuilding community as well...as it's known that this is not one of the easier certifications to obtain.
As far as what I plan on doing from here...I've decided that I want to take the steps to get involved in the fitness industry on some level now. I love helping people in whatever way I can, so this may have given me something that I can give back. I've already made a commitment to a few recovering addicts, in hopes that perhaps they can find something in training that will overshadow their desire to use drugs. I never really looked at being a certified trainer as being a career change for me...I was looking to better educate myself on how to train properly. This does open up some choices though. Of course I'm hungry for more knowledge now, and I need to decide which area I want to explore next. I'm looking at Performance Nutrition, Advanced Integrated Flexibility and a few other areas, as well as different credentialing organizations right now. Some soul searching over the coming holiday(s) should help me to decide which direction I'm going to take.
Thanks again to everybody, and if there is ever anyway that I can be of help, please don't hesitate to ask.

By the way, is this a career change for you? I noticed in your profile that you're not a spring chicken :D

 Gee...thanks for reminding me. No career change, only a career addition. I do have some close contacts in the medical field that could quite possibly open up some options there though. I'm turning it all over to God...and waiting for the answers to come.

Yeah, and I'm squatting(machine) 400lbs+ with a metal hip too...
Actually...I met a guy at one of my workshops that had gotten into the industry about 3 years earlier...He was 51, so the career change isn't completely out of the question, if that's Gods plan for me.
On another note...I haven't trained at all over the last 3 weeks due to exam prep, and I've shrunk a little. Now that I'm not studying all the time, I'm thinking this might be a good time to jump onto a size challenge in here.

Walt,

There are two things in your statement that you are already doing; 1) This may have given me something to give back; 2) If there is any way I can be of help, please don't hesitate to ask. You are already doing both of these. Just look at the number of people you have given advice to and believe me, the majority listen when you speak.

No matter where you go, you seem to have your priorities in order and I have no doubt that you will be successful. :gl:

P.S. The "7 Biggest Muscle Myths" is part of my personal library.
