I usually do my cardio in the afternoon....after i would usully have veggies and meat or fish or a salad with meat in it. I also lift 3 days a week but the days i don't, i do cardio/abs. inurb November 17th, 2004, 09:22 AM After cardio make sure you eat protein and some fat. If your goal is for fat loss then stick with the protein and fat. Save the veggies for another meal with protein a couple hours later. Bluestreak November 17th, 2004, 09:30 AM I'll second Inurb's sentiment - protein with a little fat should be ingested following a cardio session. Avoid carbs for at least a couple of hours afterwards, preferably try to wait 2.5~3 to your next meal and then have some carbs. This works best for me following morning fasted-state cardio. -R |
