First, let me say this is a fantastic site. I wanted to share some information about myself and get some information for a new training/nutrition program.

My stats are:

32 y/o
213 lbs.
5ft. 8in. tall
Body fat % ?

My questions are:

How, in terms of training, do I go about maximizing fat loss? This is my most important goal. I'd like to get to and maintain my weight at 185 lbs. The question is what's the best training approach accomplish this? I can spend up to an 1 1/2 hours in the gym daily if needed.

In terms of nutrition, I’d appreciate any advice on how I can go from knowing absolutely nothing about cooking to preparing healthy meals on my own. This has been a huge issue for me and I’ve always relied on fast food or grabbing what’s available for a quick meal.
I purchased a top of the line Foreman Grill recently and never touched it.

For the guys that started a training program and had to go from not cooking at all to making meals, I'd appreciate your input.

Thanks for any help.

I suggest you buy a bunch of chicken breasts and fish fillets. Go to the spice aisle in the grocery store and buy a few premixed spices...cavenders, cajun blend, whatever you like. Use that top of the line Foreman Grill and grill up the breasts and fillets using those different spices. Put them all in separate baggies and there you go...the centerpiece of your meals for the week is done and ready to grab and go. Build the rest of your meal around that.

I'm no cooking expert but I do prepare my own food now.

If you really can't cook like me, then the best thing I reckon is to just open up a can of tuna and eat it like that. Personally, I love tuna and it's packed with proteins and fats (the good type!). Another snack I love with no preparation is smoked salmon pieces. Buy them from a supermarket and eat them raw. Delicious!
