I just started MAX-OT on Sunday(14th). I did back that day. Just using the MAX-OT mindset and rep range and all of that, I increased signifigantly the weight I was using on the excersizes I do for back.

Before:
Seated cable row: 150
Lat pulldown: 135
Shrug: 225
Stiff-Leg Deadlift: 185

MAX-OT:
Seated cable row: 180
Lat pulldown: 165
Shrug: 310
Stiff-Leg Deadlift: 225

Now, I amazed myself doing this. Was the lower weight I had been doing just in my head and I could of done it the week before too? Or was it just the MAX-OT way of thinking? Lower rep range?(I had been doing 7-10 reps before)

I have been on a bulk for about a month now(3200+ a day). I am 189 lbs., 12% BF.

Also, has anyone else seen leaps like this when switching to MAX-OT from another workout form?

Well I don't know what specifically it was for you, but I did increase the hell out of my strength on a MAXOT-Style training plan. ENORMOUS jumps in just about every lift.

It never seems to be in any way linear for me. High reps kill and I can only manage seemingly light weights. As soon as I drop the reps, the weight goes way up. When trying a weight you think you can do 1-2 reps with (not a 1RM) and then going for 4-5, I've always been amazed at how much I can lift compared to a 10 or 12 rep MAX.

I was actually thinking about this the other day. I am on week 5 of my second max-ot cycle(after about a 4 month break) and am amazed that I up nearly every lift by 5lbs every workout. I'm not sure if it is the program actually working like it says or if it's a mental thing. I think it may be a combination of both.
When I finished my 1st max-ot cycle and moved to a 8-10 rep program, I was also amazed by how much my the 8-10 rep lifts even increased. Be sure to keep of log of your lifts and compare from 1st week to last. Pretty cool.

Max-OT worked for me. I'm up 5 pounds in almost every lift on a weekly basis too. I don't think it's a mental thing, I think it's just a program that works. I'm back on Max-OT after a long break and I'm looking forward to the huge gains again.

I think for this being my first week, it was a mental thing. EVERY lift I do, compound or isolation has gone up between 5-25 lbs. BUT, I think this is also an awesome program that will keep me increasing week after week.
