Hey guys, this is my first post. I have been reading since the forums opened and have enjoyed the knowledge and conversations. My question is, what do you guys have for nutrition after your workouts? Thanks, and I must say that I am glad to be here!

Great! Thanks guys, I will be sure and start taking something more similar to those. Before I was taking a 2:1 protein to Carb ratio and realize that wasn't the correct ratio!

What flavor of gatorade/protein do you use? Have you found any good combinations?

i use a low-carb protein powder, then add my own higher quality carb. the current combination of choice is GROW low-carb vanilla with .5 cup of oats and a scoop of glutamine (that's a scientific standard, you know. a "scoop" of glutamine).

Does one need to load on Glutamine like you do with creatine?

loading for either is a waste of product and money.

Loading glutamine? Now there's a new idea.

Like Jono said, loading is unneccessary, but it will expediate the net results. Although I've never heard of anyone loading glutamine. It's a preventative supplement, so you wouldn't be speeding up the...lack of catabolism. You should, however, determine what amount is the most effective for you (between 5 and 20g per day).
